Train To Gain

Coaching For Results : Working with Train To GainLeadership and management development is being funded for Business Leaders and Managers by Train to Gain and the Learning and Skills Council.  If you manage a company that has 5 or more employees (including freelance or part-time workers), you could qualify for a grant of up to £1,000 towards coaching, mentoring or training to develop your leadership skills. And for a limited time there is also some money available for businesses with at least one employee.

As long as the coaching and training is mainly for the leader of the organisation to develop their skills, the first £500 can be claimed for coaching and training designed to improve performance of the senior managers in the organisation. A further £1,000, £500 of which is contributed (match funded) by your business is also available.

 

The only catch is that you can only claim this funding once.  If you opt for the lower amount and don't put in any money yourself, then find at the end of the coaching that you need more sessions, you can't claim again.  The best option to make the most of this money and develop your business to its full potential, is to go for investing the full amount; injecting £1,500 worth of coaching and training, for your investment of just £500.  The Government is giving away this money in an effort to kick start the economy - so it's a great time to invest in growing your business!

 

How It Works

We discuss your business learning needs with you
and carry out a ‘SWOT’ - Strengths, Weaknesses,
Opportunities and Threats analysis of the business
with you.  We then develop a personal development
plan with a programme aimed at developing the
business leader’s leadership and management
skills, which can also include team and team
members’ development plans.

 

This is then referred to the Leadership and
Management Advisory Service (LMAS) who will call

you to discuss and approve the grant.  The first £500

of funding does not require any financial contribution

from businesses and you can stop here!

 

If you wish to develop a longer programme of coaching, mentoring and training that will meet all your needs, it’s advisable to claim the full amount where the business contributes up to £500, and a further £500 is provided by Train to Gain through the LMAS.  The funding does not all have to be used, as whatever is not used by the business remains with Train to Gain.

First break down barriers around the problem you want resolved in your business. Then, create your business vision, mission and purpose and some goals. Finally develop a plan to achieve all your business goals.

If your business has been suffering due to a specific problem for some time  ..you feel overwhelmed, alone at the top, unable to take the business forward as you would like or perhaps there’s an issue that you know holds you back from achieving all in the business that is possible for you? … Have you got to the point where you know you need to make a significant change in your business?

Adapt To Survive

 

Adapt to Survive supports and helps you decide on your strategies and plan for the future using free workshops, mentoring and grants to help your business adapt and survive significant challenges and in particular, the current recession. And there’s a lot of evidence that it’s those that make the most of the opportunities and thrive in difficult times that come out flying!

 

How it works

The business owner applies to GWE business west to attend free workshop
and then attends the free workshop to develop an action plan. The business
leader can then apply for free mentoring at the workshop for help in carrying
out the action plan and undertake monthly sessions with mentor.  The business leader can also apply for grant of up to £250 to help implement their adapt to survive action plan.

 

Is this for my business?

If your business has 1-250 employees, yes!  If you need £250 to be spent on
consultancy services or training as specified in your workshop training plan and you have attended the workshop which is a pre-requisite for receipt of grant and mentoring, yes!

360° Assessments

Personal Breakthrough Coaching

 

Well, you’ll be pleased to know, if you’re reading this, you’re in the right place.  A personal breakthrough session package from Coaching for Results will help you to deal with your problem effectively, once and for all, and help you to fully release your potential to achieve all that you do want in your life.

 

Using tools from Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), hypnosis and personal performance coaching, the coach will help you to unlock and discover the beliefs and experiences that lay behind the presenting issue, and help you to see them in a different light.

 

This will enable you to re-programme yourself, changing your thought patterns leading to behaviour change and therefore changing the results you achieve in your life.

 

How it works

You will see your coach for around 3 sessions where he/she will interview you about the history of the issue, the problems it causes for you and what kind of resolution you would like to have.

 

In the second session you will work with your coach using a combination of NLP and hypnosis tools to breakthrough your problems and barriers to achieve the life you want.

 

In the third session you will review the changes made, resolve any gaps and plan a way forward for your new life.

Used to accelerate your development, this programme provides you with some insightful developmental feedback from those around you (your manager, team and colleagues) on your leadership/ management style and the coaching support needed to use it to accelerate your personal development.

 

How it works

Working with a leading provider of online personal development tools, we are now able to offer a tailored 360 degree feedback instrument to support
our leadership and team development activities.  Working with you, we will develop a 360 degree feedback questionnaire based on the specific needs of your role and then run an online feedback survey on your behalf.  

 

The process works by gathering developmental feedback from the participant’s manager, peers, direct reports (where applicable) and customers via online questionnaires tailored to the values, competencies and behaviours that are important to the organisation. An experienced facilitator will then work with the participant to optimise the value to be gained from the report.

 

Once the report is produced (approximately 3 weeks). A qualified coach will then support you to convert your feedback in to a meaningful Personal Development Plan (PDP) and then coach you on your key development objectives.

 

Using a 360 degree feedback survey at the start of the process ensures you have the key information needed to make sound development choices; that each coaching session focuses on the important issues and that the whole process is easily evaluated.
